About the Event
The 2025 Community Foundation Staff Retreat is designed to provide the perfect blend of structured learning, informal sharing, and networking opportunities to allow participants to build meaningful, lasting connections while gaining valuable insights that will empower their work in the community.
An exceptional line-up of speakers, including field experts, community partners and your peers, will offer insight into relevant topics and explore areas of interest more deeply. This is an opportunity for staff in roles like Program/Community Investment, Fund Development, Scholarship, Communications, and Finance/Operations to come together. However, all community foundation staff in Michigan, regardless of their role, are welcome to participate if they are interested in the content. The retreat agenda will be available in March.
Please note that this program is exclusively for community foundation staff.
Thanks to the generous support from the Community Foundation Endowment, we’re pleased to offer a registration fee of just $150 for this event. We are not able to provide additional discounts or bundle pricing.
Hotel Information
A room block has been secured at Delta Hotels Marriott Muskegon Convention Center at $144 per night plus applicable taxes and fees. Participants will be responsible for their hotel accommodations. Reservations are guaranteed at the group rate until April 11. Reservation requests received after this date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
Health and Safety
CMF continues to prioritize the well-being of members, staff, partners and communities. The following measures reflect our in-person event health and safety procedures:
- Any registrant who is feeling unwell, who has tested positive for an illness in the 10 days prior to the event or who is showing symptoms and awaiting test results is asked not to attend.
- If a registrant is unable to attend due to illness, they are invited to transfer their registration to another individual within their organization or CMF can refund the registration if there was a cost. Please notify CMF via [email protected] with a request to transfer or refund your registration.
- All attendees will be invited to wear one of three color-coded lanyards to indicate to other attendees their personal comfort with in-person interaction: red (greet from six feet), yellow (elbows only), green (high-fives permitted).
- CMF staff will have hand sanitizer and extra masks available at the event.
