Technology Roundtable
Join us for a virtual gathering to discuss technology and software, share what you’re seeing in your own work and crowdsource ideas from your fellow peers across the state. This will be an open space for discussion so please bring your questions, concerns and highlights from your own work to share with the group. As we continue our collective equity journey, we invite you to bring forward equity-related topics to our roundtables throughout the year. This conversation is open to all CMF members whether your work touches technology, you have a dedicated technology role or you just want to pick up a few tips from our technology experts.
Foundations In Lansing: Workforce Supports
Join your Michigan philanthropy peers engaged in supporting workforce needs. Conversations and storytelling will be focused on, but not limited to, talent attraction and retention, training, and workforce housing supported by Michigan philanthropy. We will meet with selected state legislators engaged in these policy-making areas, so a broader range of discussion is welcome. This is an opportunity to highlight Michigan philanthropy’s work towards equitable opportunities for the jobs of today and the jobs of tomorrow. We will also learn about legislative priorities in education and deepen connections with policymakers working to shape the future of the workforce in Michigan.
Supporting Rural Communities: A CMF Member Gathering
Join your rural philanthropy peers in person to discuss around. The purpose of this gathering will be to empower foundation staff and trustees working in rural communities to connect with peers in meaningful ways and discuss opportunities and challenges related to rural infrastructure. The group will be joined by Sarah Lucas, Director of the Office of Rural Prosperity, who will share more about the trajectory of the office, what they are learning through statewide listening sessions and how philanthropy can continue to partner to lift and address issues facing their communities.

TANF Innovations: Exploring Flint's Rx Kids
The Safety Net work group, in partnership with the Governor's Office of Foundation Liaison and the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, is hosting a virtual convening with leaders and learners across the state to hear from Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha and Luke Shaefer, Ph.D., about the Flint Rx Kids program. The program is leveraging Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and philanthropic support to guarantee an income every month for an infant's first year for all expectant families in the city of Flint. Join us and learn more about this innovative approach to deploying TANF funding.
